- Thursday Morning Breakfast/Devotional – Thursday 7-8 AM Grandma Hattie’s Restaurant
- Serendipity Bible Study – Friday 9:15 AM. Jordan Room. Childcare is available.
- United Methodist Women – all women of the church are invited to participate.
- Potluck lunch and meeting – First Thursday 11:45 AM
- Craft Workshop – Second Thursday 9:00 AM (bring lunch) to make crafts for annual Holiday Faire, to raise fund for various service projects, including a $1000 scholarship presented each year and a project to develop eldercare.
- Women’s Circles – Fourth Tuesday at 6:30 PM or fourth Thursday 9:30 AM or 1:00 PM in private homes for devotions and fellowship.
- Yearly Women’s Retreat – Usually held in November, for fun, support and spiritual reflection.
- Methodist Men – all men of the church are invited to participate.
- Steak/Chicken Dinner and meeting – Second Thursday 6:00 PM. Wesley Room.
- SOMEBODIES – help with maintenance projects around the church on Thursday mornings at 9:00 AM, both skilled and unskilled.
- Fundraisers to support their service projects which include the Boys and Girls Club, WNCC scholarships and scholarships for Small Blessings Christian Preschool.
- Open Support Groups
- Caretakers – support and encouragement for those people who give significant time caring for ill or handicapped loves ones, or who have lost a loved one.
- ALS Support Group – Please take a flyer from the rack in the breezeway for information.
- AA Early Bird Meeting – 6:30 AM Monday through Saturday, basement room.
- In-Depth Studies – Sign ups required – check current class beginning dates
- Disciple Bible Study - 31 Week courses meet once a week for 2 ½ hours. Usually begins each fall on Sunday and Monday nights. Different years studies include:
- Becoming Disciples through Bible Study
- Disciple II – Remember Who You Are: The Prophets, The Letters of Paul
- Disciple III – Into the Word, Into the World: Genesis-Exodus, Luke-Acts
- Disciple IV - Jesus in the Gospels
- Christian Believer -Integrating Bible Study and Basic Christian Beliefs.
- Spiritual Life Center - Spiritual Formation Classes from 8 weeks to 32 weeks including:
- Companions in Christ
- The Way of Forgiveness
- The Way of Blessedness
- Short term classes are offered occasionally, including topics such as: The Breath of Life, The Dance of Anger, Humor Workshop, Praying the Psalms, Depth Prayer.
- Tai Chi – Tuesdays 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM. Wesley Room Open to new students the second and third weeks of September and January. Tai chi is a gentle form of exercise that brings you to a meditative, prayerful place.
- Resistance Exercise– Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Wesley Room.
- Service Activities– we have many other opportunities for ministry and service, these are only a few:
- Stephen Ministers – Trained lay ministers are available to bring God’s love into the reality of a person’s everyday life by providing confidential one-to-one, quality Christian care.
- FISH – The church was instrumental in beginning and now supports the on-going work of FISH (Friends In Service Helping). Donations of food items and monetary gifts are taken for the program every Sunday.
- Make a Difference in the World Task Force – for Christian social action. Nevada Children and Poverty Task Force is working to make the 2005 State legislature aware of the needs of children in Nevada.
