February 10, 2008
Jacob was left alone; and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. - Genesis 32:24
Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; - Philippians 3:12
In Damascus, the governor under King Aretas guarded the city of Damascus in order to seize me, but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands. -2 Corinthians 11:32-33
Focus: Faith is not a destination, but a journey. Being nomads, becoming pilgrims.
- Road Maps or Sign Posts?
- Loving the questions. Wrestling with God.
- A preference for the quick and easy.
- Is it about arriving at the destination or journeying along the way?
- The problem of certainty, or having already arrived.
- Journey of transformation with Christ as the compass.
- Don't take too much baggage.
- Finding the right way without everyone else being wrong.
- Using the ancient spiritual practice of the Labyrinth.
