13Then he heard a voice saying, ‘Get up, Peter; kill and eat.’ 14But Peter said, ‘By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is profane or unclean.’ 15The voice said to him again, a second time, ‘What God has made clean, you must not call profane.’

27And as he talked with him, he went in and found that many had assembled; 28and he said to them, ‘You yourselves know that it is unlawful for a Jew to associate with or to visit a Gentile; but God has shown me that I should not call anyone profane or unclean.

The United Methodist Women are offering scholarships to members or constituents of the First United Methodist Church of Carson City who will be attending an accredited institution of higher education beginning in the Fall of 2012.

Applications may be obtained from the church office at 400 W. King St., Suite #100, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4 pm. All applications must be completed and returned by April 20, 2012.

6 And God said, ‘Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.’ 7So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

and his ears are open to their prayer.

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.’

13 Now who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good?
